During the marathon fundraisers, they always talk about how they bring you good programming / classical music / all these other benefits without commercial interruption.
Every morning I hear something like this:
Today’s programming is brought to you by Angie’s List/The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation/Constant Contact/etc, providing…
What makes that not a commercial? That it’s the DJ?
You know, your site just doesn’t make sense to me. Clearly, you are of a conservative bent, owing to the fact that this blog is faith-oriented, and supports McCain. However, you title your blog after a Black Crowes song. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think the Black Crowes are1) Particularly interested in the values of clean living that your religion espouses, or 2) Particularly likely to vote for your party come November. If one of us winds up seeing them play at a political rally (which they probably won’t, as neither party officially supports decriminalization/legalization of weed), it will be me at an Obama function. You don’t see any liberal blogs called “Cat Scratch Fever” or “Wango Tango” or “I Frikkin’ Love The Nuge & Roe v. Wade”. So why on Earth do you run a blog that (for the views of the band intended), might as well be titled “Bong Hits 4 Jesus”? I just don’t get it.
Peace homeboy
That’s one of the great things about music, isn’t it. People who don’t agree about lots of things can have a good time together. Thanks for checking out the site.
The first comment was one of the best comments on a blog in 2008.
